RNA – Siraj al-Haqq, a member of the Senate of Pakistan and the leader of the Jamaat-e Islami, Pakistan’s largest religious party, which is a social conservative, and Islamist political party, said, “Washington’s conspiracy against Muslims is obvious and the United States has created dissension between Saudi Arabia and Qatar.”
Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt cut their diplomatic and transport ties with Qatar on June 5, accusing Doha of destabilizing the region with its support for terrorism. They also gave all Qatari visitors and residents two weeks to leave.
al-Haqq added that the United States is seeking to create division Islamic nations and dissension between Sunni and Shi’ah Muslims and this has led to conflicts among them which has only led to damage for the Muslim ummah.
The Pakistani senator from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that the discord between Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Iran is dangerous for Islam and added that Pakistan should play a role to solve this problem.
The leader of Jamaat-e Islami said the imperialist powers, led by the United States, has entered this conflict against the Muslims and this issue between Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Iran is of great concern to the Muslim world.
al-Haqq added that the enemies are trying to create a crisis in the Islamic countries in order to dominate over these countries’ mining, oil and gold industries and Pakistan must not allow this to happen.
The Sunni politician said if the current crisis continues between the Persian Gulf countries, Pakistan will suffer.
al-Haqq stressed that by sending a representative to the ambassadors of Islamic countries, we can attempt to take steps towards resolving the crisis in the Persian Gulf countries.
