RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in the Iraqi city of Najaf’s al-Fatimiyah al-Kubra Husayniyah, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Sadruddin al-Qubanchi offered his appreciation of the courage and sacrifices made by Iraqi warriors in the fight against the Daesh Takfiri terrorists and said, “Due to the ability and power of the Popular Mobilization Forces, the border between Syria and Iraq has been protected.”
Referring to the crisis between several Persian Gulf countries, led by Saudi Arabia, with Qatar, the Iraqi scholar stated, “The creation of conflict between the countries of the Persian Gulf represents the collapse and destruction of the sponsors of the axis of terrorism.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Qubanchi said that the coalition of Persian Gulf countries against Qatar is the result of US President Donald Trump’s recent visit to Saudi Arabia and added, “The recent events in the region are a drain on our domestic capabilities and a part of the colonial plan to create division in the region.”
He said due to the current situation in the region, we will witness the destruction of hereditary dictatorships and regimes.
His Eminence also referred to Wednesday’s terrorist attack on the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran (Parliament) and the Holy Shrine of Imam Khomeyni in the Iranian capital of Tehran, saying, “These acts were like throwing stones at the mountain” and described it as “an insane and foolish act.”
At least 17 people were killed and more than 50 injured in the near-simultaneous assaults which the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group later claimed responsibility for.
Hujjat al-Islam al-Qubanchi offered his condolences to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, the government and the people of Iran on the two terrorist attacks and said, “We are certain that Iran does not pose any danger and all the plots and conspiracies against this country by the enemies will fail.”
