RNA – Speaking at Imam Khomeyni Husayniyah in Hamadan, Ayatollah Mortaza Moqtadaei thanked the faithful people on the holy month of Ramadhan and said, “The tenth of Ramadhan coincides with the death of the first blessed lady of Islam, Khadijah bint Khuwaylid, the first wife of the Prophet Muhammad.”
The secretary of the Supreme Council of the Islamic Seminaries added that upon the return of the Prophet Muhammad from the cave of Hira and the proclamation of his prophethood, Lady Khadijah believed in the Noble Prophet and throughout her life, she was always supportive of the Prophet Muhammad.
He referred to Lady Khadijah’s support of for the Holy Prophet and said, “When the Prophet engaged in the propagation of the message of ‘there is no might nor power except in God’ among the Quraysh tribe and was ridiculed and even injured, Lady Khadijah comforted the Prophet and provided him with status so that him would be ready to promote Islam.
Ayatollah Moqtadaei said that the wealth and support of Lady Khadijah strengthened Islam and added, “During the expansion of Islam, Lady Khadijah strengthened the foundations of Islam by sharing her wealth.”
Referring to the uprising of 15 Khordad [June 5, 1963], he said the uprising of 15 Khordad began with the violent attack by the Pahlavi regime at Qom’s Feyziyeh Seminary.
The Iranian cleric added that on June 3, 1963, on the afternoon of Ashura, Imam Khomeyni delivered a fiery sermon at the Feyziyeh Seminary in which severely criticized the Shah, Mohammad-Reza Pahlavi, which led to his arrest in the early morning of June 5th.
Ayatollah Moqtadaei added that when the people understood that Imam Khomeyni was arrested, they began protesting on the streets of Qom and around the Holy shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah as well as in the major cities of the country and the accursed Shah ordered the security forces to fire on the people and this lead to the shedding of the blood of the people of Iran.
The member of the Assembly of Experts stated that this event marked the beginning of the Islamic Revolution and said that the pure blood of the martyrs of the event of 15 Khordad and the crimes of the regime marked the beginning of the Islamic Revolution and the awakening of the people.
“The Islamic Revolution is the fruit of the pure blood of the martyrs, especially the martyrs of 15th of Khordad,” he said.
Referring to the time of the demise of Imam Khomeyni, Ayatollah Moqtadaei said the imperialist powers of the world, the Zionists and their agents thought that after the demise of Imam Khomeyni there would be a power struggle and the hope disappeared with the death of the great founder of the Islamic Revolution.
He said that one thing that frustrates the imperialist powers and the enemies of Islam, was the swift election of the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, after the death of Imam Khomeyni and the passionate participation of the people in his funeral.
The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom noted the position of the Supreme Leader and said the best choice for the election of a leader in all time was the election of Ayatollah Khamenei and God helped the Assembly of Experts in electing him.
