RNA – Speaking at a ceremony marking the 28th anniversary of the demise of Imam Khomeyni by Iran’s Embassy in Lebanon, Hujjat al-Islam Naim Qasim, the deputy secretary-general of Hezbollah, said the spirit of dignity, grace and freedom in Lebanon was learned from Imam Khomeyni, the late founder of Iran’s Islamic Revolution.
The Lebanese Shi’ah scholar said that in order to strengthen the process of progress and transition from subservience toward revolution and resistance and to move away from misdirection toward guidance, Islam must restore its civilized place and convey the voice of religion around the world.
“With the weapons of faith and the power of the people, they must stand up against the oppressors and shake oppression,” he said.
He added that this great man was never defeated and everyone who stood against him was doomed to failure and said, “The Iran which Imam Khomeyni established granted us perseverance on the path of religion and training in resistance and assisted us in the achievement of freedom of our land and in the fight against the threat of Takfirism.”
Hujjat al-Islam Qasim said Imam Khomeyni discovered two types of leadership – religious leadership and tyrants who are claimants of a caliphate and noted, “The publication of millions of copies of the Quran by the claimants of the caliphate is useless because they have killed thousands of Yemeni citizens and no voice in the world which claims to be civilized and democratic is heard.”
The senior member of Hezbollah pointed out that proximity to the Ka’bah and the payment of tribute to the United States is of no benefit to Saudi Arabia and said, “The people of the Resistance are steadfast on the path toward the liberation of their lands and the era of subservience has come to an end and the era of resistance has begun. When the soldiers of God are present on the battlefield, the shadow of the caliphate will disappear.”
He added that we are a generation raised on the thought and method of Imam Khomeyni which could defeat the invincible army and destroy the Takfiri groups in Syria through their perseverance. “The victories made in Syria are by no means small achievements because if these achievements were not made, a new map of the Mediterranean would be drawn,” he stressed.
Hujjat al-Islam Qasim stressed that the Zionist regime clings to their threats but the conditions for a new war for them are not achievable and added, “We remind the Zionists that we have the power and new technology and we are by no means afraid of the enemies but the Zionists fear the resistance of the people.”
The senior Hezbollah leader saluted the endurance of the people of Bahrain against the Al Khalifah dictatorship and addressed the regional regimes and said, “Your salvation depends on cooperation with Iran and if you’re truly integrated and concerned with the nations of the region, Iran has opened its gates. You fought with Iran in the past but this country has opened a new page.”
