RNA – Hujjat al-Islam Abdullah al-Daqqaq, the Supreme Leader’s representative in Iran, referred to the raid by the forces of Bahrain’s Al Khalifah regime on the sit-in in defense of Hujjat al-Islam Isa Qasim in the town of Diraz and called on the people to participate in the sit-in in a widespread manner.

The Bahraini cleric referred to the fatwa issued by Grand Ayatollah Kazem Husayni-Haeri in regard to the necessity of defending Hujjat al-Islam Qasim as well as remarks by Ayatollah Ja’far Sobhani about Hujjat al-Islam Qasim as a teacher of jurisprudence and stated that the necessity of defending the Bahraini Shi’ah leader remains obligatory.

Hujjat al-Islam al-Daqqaq said that people of Bahrain, by giving attention to the clear and explicit fatwas issued which state that it is obligatory for them to defend Hujjat al-Islam Qasim and protect the sit-in at His Eminence’s house, must not fear the buildup of military forces in Diraz and added that they will achieve victory though the power of faith.

He said the immediate and widespread movement by the people toward the location of the sit-in in defense of Hujjat al-Islam Qasim has led to the weakening of the strength of the regime’s power.

“Whoever travels toward the place of the sit-in will receive a divine reward and thus, you should quickly travel toward to his house,” he said, addressing the people.

Hujjat al-Islam al-Daqqaq warned the forces of the Al Khalifah over attacking the sit-in in order to defeat it and added that responsibility for these actions falls on Bahrain’s rulers and called on them to respect the religious authority of the nation and not to commit an act that is irreparable.

In a brief message, Bahrain’s Shi’ah scholars called on the citizens of this country to quickly go to Diraz and participate in the sit-in in defense of Hujjat al-Islam Qasim.

On Tuesday, regime forces broke into Hujjat al-Islam Qasim’s residence in the village of Diraz, killing at least five people and wounding dozens more.

They fired birdshot and teargas to disperse supporters of the clergyman and detained 286 of them. Reports said 19 policemen were also injured in the clashes.
