RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon to a large and fervent crowd of believers in Qom’s Qods Prayer Hall, Ayatollah Ali-Reza Arafi emphasised on the need to use the opportunity of remaining few days left of the month of Sha’ban and said, “This month is a preliminary step for the entry into the month of Ramadan and over 100 specialties have been expressed in this regard.”
The head of the Islamic Seminaries of Iran also referred to the 35th anniversary of the liberation of the city of Khorramshahr during the Iran-Iraq War which occurred on May 24, 1982 and noted, “The young people and lovers of the Islamic Revolution sacrificed their lives and the vitality of their youth for their nation during the ‘Sacred Defense.’ If not for the sacrifices during the duration of the Sacred Defence, today, the freedom and greatness that Iranians enjoy wouldn’t exist.”
He added, “Today, the resistance, sacrifice and dedication among Iranians are a result of the advancement of the country and if society was empty of this spirit, it would collapse and nothing could save it. For this reason, the principle of resistance and sacrifice must be strengthened.”
Ayatollah Arafi referred to the pillars of the Resistance Economy, saying, “One of the important pillars of the Resistance Economy is the efficient use of the facilities and the rectification of the model of consumption. Efficiency must be increased and splurging on luxuries must be prevented and consumption patterns should be optimized.”
The member of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution referred to today’s presidential and city and village council elections and said, “The elections are a great celebration for the Iranian nation and are important chapter in religious democracy.”
He added, “The election campaign had many sweet points but also had a lot of bitterness that had to be corrected. Today’s elections are a great act of worship for the nation and all should participate in the elections which is a religious, intellectual and revolutionary duty.”
The head of al-Mustafa International University added that the people must choose the most appropriate candidate and added, “The presidential and council elections should be established based on awareness, not on the basis of satanic whims.”
“After the elections, all must obey the law and assist the elected president in order for the country to progress,” the member of the Supreme Council of Islamic Seminaries added.
Ayatollah Arafi said the enemies and ill-wishers of the Iranian nation see the passionate presence of the people and this passionate presence will disappoint them in regard to the evil acts and conspiracies which they have executed against the Islamic Revolution.
Pointing to the signing of the “Education 2030 Framework for Action” document, he said, “It’s decisively and clearly expected that the problems in the content and in the process are taken into consideration. The perspectives and guidelines of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei] must be taken into consideration.”
Ayatollah Arafi said, “We must know that the logic of arrogance exists in international documents and they want to absorb society into the Western discourse. For this reason, we must be vigilant and it’s hopeful that there are no shortcomings based on the guidelines of the Supreme Leader, the Education 2030 document is abandoned and our education system is strengthened on the basis of the document of change and the discourse of the Islamic Revolution.”
