RNA – During a meeting with a delegation from the Global Campaign to Return to Palestine in Beirut on Tuesday, Hujjat al-Islam Naim Qasim, the deputy secretary-general of the Lebanese Islamic Resistance Movement, Hezbollah, stressed, “We (Hezbollah) have repeatedly expressed our unwavering support for the Palestinian resistance front.”
The Lebanese Shi’ah scholar added, “Whenever we call on the Zionist regime, which has a history of invading and occupying other territories, to account, our assessment of the arrogant powers of the world, who share the same characteristics of aggression and occupation, will be the same.”
Hujjat al-Islam Qasim said, “We have stressed and continue to stress that we are with the Palestinian Resistance and due to Palestine, we are with the Islamic Resistance and the Resistance in Palestine isn’t confined to one particular form and the Palestinian people are the basis and foundation of the Resistance.”
He said, “This nation has long been a resistant and self-sacrificing nation which has offered heroic resistance and endured an immense amount of suffering. This increases our hope that they continue to strive to make further achievements in this regard.”
The senior Hezbollah official stressed, “As long as the Resistance to liberate Palestine isn’t ‘from the sea to the river,’ it isn’t possible to sit back and we’re not with the Resistance which paves the way for compromise, we’re not with the Resistance which seeks to divide Palestine into two states and we’re not with the Resistance that exchanges blood with the land but rather we’re with the Resistance which is only satisfied with the full liberation of the land of Palestine without any conditions in order that the Palestinian people can return to their territory with pride and dignity.”
In another part of his comments, Hujjat al-Islam Qasim referred to the false slogans of the arrogant powers and said, “As it is claimed, something such as ‘universal human rights’ does not exist and although they claim to work for human justice between nations and countries, the arrogant powers of the world don’t and they also don’t support independence and the rights of nations.”
