RNA – In a meeting with Shaykh Sa’id Qasimi, the head of the Palestinian Islamic Council, Hujjat al-Islam Ali Yasin, the head of the Association of Scholars of Tire in Lebanon, said, “Solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners in the jails of the Zionist regime, standing up against the American-Zionist plots and supporting Islam against the Zionist and Takfiri enemies is possible through various ways.”

The Lebanese Shi’ah cleric said the ongoing hunger strike by Palestinian prisoners is another way of resistance against Israel and is pride of the Islamic Resistance and this act is considered as a stain on the Arab regimes who are attempting to normalize relations with the Zionist regime.

Israeli prison officials have cracked down on Palestinian prisoners after more than 1,500 political detainees launched an open-ended hunger strike on April 17th, with detainees ingesting only water and salt.

Hujjat al-Islam Yasin said Muslims around the world must support Islam against the Takfiri ideology and added, “This issue will strengthen Islamic unity and explain genuine Islamic values and will achieve widespread popular support for the liberation of Palestine.”

The head of the Association of Scholars of Tire said that activation of the media of the Islamic Resistance against the media of the seditionists, which is supported by the United Kingdom and the United States and with the financial support of some Arab rulers, has been noted as one of the necessities in the fight against the Zionist regime.

He added that the Zionist enemies have not only occupied Palestine but rather they have occupied Islam. “Muslims must sincerely resort to the Prophet Muhammad and think about liberating Palestine, which was their first qiblah.”

Hujjat al-Islam Yasin declared his solidarity with Palestinian prisoners and said, “Prisoners of the Revolution of Empty Stomachs are fighting against the enemies but unfortunately, some Arab governments haven’t reacted to this issue and have chosen to remain silent.”

The Lebanese cleric stressed that the silence by Arab governments over the Palestinian prisoners’ hunger strike is natural because they are abiding by the orders of the US and the Zionist regime.
