RNA – Speaking at the “Ambassador of Guidance” conference held on the occasion of the celebration of Eid al-Maba’th at Farhangian University in Mashhad, Mawlawi Mamoun Rahmah, the Friday prayer leader of the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus, Syria offered his congratulations on the occasion the Maba’th of the Prophet Muhammad, which marks the public announcement of his prophetic mission, and said that the Prophet Muhammad brought a message of the love, compassion and friendship.
The Syrian Sunni scholar stated that during the Era of Ignorance before the Prophet Muhammad’s mission began, scattered groups and communities constantly fought battles against each other and added, “In reality, the Prophet established affection and friendship in the people’s hearts while they were constantly at war and engaged in bloodshed.”
Mawlawi Rahmah said that the current disputes are not unprecedented in history and added that in Islamic countries, Takfiri terrorists seek to create division and break the ranks between various Islamic societies, saying, “These criminals emphasize on provoking the emotions of various groups whose aim to divide the Muslim ummah and believe that engaging in the killing of others is the shortest way to achieve these goals.”
The imam of the Umayyad Mosque criticized the claims of reform among Takfiris and said, “Why do want to achieve your aims through terror, fear, anxiety and panic?”
He added, “The terrorists arrested and tortured me and assumed that I was dead but after ten days, I came out of a coma and told ‘perhaps you tore up my body but you cannot change my will.’”
Mawlawi Rahmah warned of the realization of the Zionists’ slogan “from the Nile to the Euphrates” and said, “The enemies are planning crises in Syria crises against Iran and we must be very careful of their plots.”
The Friday prayer leader of Damascus’ Umayyad Mosque said the unity between Shi’ahs and Sunnis in Iran is a source of encouragement for the Syrian people and added, “They can’t separate Sunnis and Shi’ahs anywhere in the world because Shi’ahs and Sunnis are like the two wings of Islam.”
He referred to the crimes of the Takfiri terrorists in Syria and said, “The al-Nusrah Front is made up of foreigners who have flooded into Syria and they are a violent group and while they shout slogans of democracy, freedom and progress but in reality, they have taken all of these from us.”
Mawlawi Rahmah explained that there are no differences between Daesh and the al-Nusrah Front and added, “Today, the duty of the scholars is to speak the truth of this issue because our silence leads to the further spread of Daesh.”
