aRNA – In a meeting with a group of officials from the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Grand Ayatollah Hoseyn Nouri-Hamadani said that everyone, especially the clergy and the elite, have a duty toward the Islamic Revolution and said, “The Islamic Revolution was a divine gift and protecting it is everyone’s duty.”

The revered source of emulation added that the Islamic Revolution emanated from the Islamic Seminary and the clergy of the seminary have been under the umbrella of the late Imam Khomeini in this movement, hence it’s the duty of the seminary students and clergy in this regard is very important and heavy.

“In narrations it says that the clergy are the ‘border guards of religion’ and must engage in jihad,” he added.

Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani noted that the evildoers continue to plan in order to attack Islam and Iran’s Islamic Revolution, and added, “The enemies are seeking to destroy the identity of Islam in various fields – including in the political, economic and cultural arenas – and are pursuing complex plots in this regard.”

The teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom added that the Quran says that the power of Muslims must be to the extent that the enemies always fear them. Muslims must have a strong community so that they can implement the ideas of pure Muhammadan Islam.

“Each community needs a manager, who during the era of the occultation of Imam al-Mahdi, this management is the responsibility of the Wali al-Faqih,” he said.

He said that the great sources of wealth and resources of Islam must be used to their greatest extent and added, “The clergy should have constant contact with the people because the people consider the clergy as role models in terms of behaviour and morality.”

Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani emphasized the revival of the obligation of “enjoining the good and forbidding the wrong” in society and said, “The great emphasis on this obligation in the narrations and verses of the Holy Quran have been forgotten and the seminaries and the clergy must revive this obligation.”

His Eminence said that Islamic Revolution was established based on a divine worldview and all people and officials are obliged to protect it.
