RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers at Qom’s Qods Prayer Hall, Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad Sa’idi referred to the simultaneous beginning of the new Iranian year and the birth anniversary of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra and said, “One of the features of Lady Fatimah is that she was a role model for the entire world and her status and dignity wasn’t only due to her relationship with the Prophet Muhammad but was the result of her hard work, efforts, faith and piety.”
The custodian of the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah referred to the title given to the year 1396 by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, who stated that this year is the “Year of Economy of Resistance: Production and Employment” and stressed that this title was given due to the wide range of the Resistance Economy.
“The Resistance Economy isn’t a something that will be solved in one or two years. That which was accomplished over the past year was short-term,” he added.
Ayatollah Sa’idi added that the emphasis and repetition by the Leader on this strategy is because after the glorious and decisive eight-year-long Iran-Iraq War, the aggressors, led by the United States, found that through military action, they couldn’t achieve victory over Islamic Iran and in the face of cultural and military attacks, they covered up their failures and inabilities and in order to protect their power and to divert public opinion, they spoke of a military attack and placing options on the table.
He said that such statements led some experts and officials to believe that negotiating could repel an armed attack by the US and its allies on Iran and added, “The enemies’ movements and threats are a cover up of their inabilities as well as to attract public opinion.”
His Eminence said that after their defeat in the Iran-Iraq War, the enemies transformed their military war into a cultural and economic war and from the beginning, the Leader called the people and officials toward defence and resistance on the economic and cultural fronts.
The Friday prayer leader of Qom said that one of the important reasons for the slow growth in regard to the economic jihad is due to the liberal outlook and thought which has overtaken some of the leaders and managers and said, “In liberal thought, economic development without social justice is formed.”
Ayatollah Sa’idi said that from the beginning of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, Westoxification, lack of self-esteem and liberalism were overtly and covertly separated from pure Muhammadan Islam and this also existed during the time of Imam Khomeini, but he eliminated the roots of corruption and disappointed this group.
