RNA – Speaking at the 9th annual convention for al-Mustafa International University’s graduates which was held in the city of Qom, Iran on Tuesday, February 28, Ayatollah Ali-Reza Arafi, the dean of the university, expressed his happiness for being in the presence of the scholars and al-Mustafa graduates.
The head of the Islamic Seminaries of Iran then elaborated on the key strategies of the university saying, “Promoting divine teachings must be at the centre of all our activities.”
He added, “al-Mustafa International University graduates must serve as a mediator to teach Islamic teachings everywhere and anytime.”
Stressing that all means of technology and facilities must be applied to help clerics promote divine teachings, the Shi’ah cleric referred to knowledge and understanding as the basis of any international activities aimed at promoting Islam.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Arafi said that establishing close and friendly ties with different Islamic sects is considered as one of the main strategies of Iran’s Islamic Revolution; “Such brotherly relations are the fruit of the teachings of the Ahlul-Bayt and are highly respected in al-Mustafa International University.”
“We need to interact with all Islamic sects based on mutual respect since such friendly social interactions are strongly recommended in Islamic principles,” he said.
Reiterating that al-Mustafa International University is the only international academic centre that offers courses on the principles of different Islamic sects, the senior scholar concluded, “al-Mustafa International University emphasizes promoting interfaith dialogue in order to solve current global issues.”
