Najaf Friday Prayer Leader:
Rasa – Hujjat al-Islam al-Qubanchi described the victory over the Daesh Takfiri terrorist phenomenon as “near.”

RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in the Iraqi city of Najaf’s al-Fatimiyah al-Kubra Husayniyah, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Sadruddin al-Qubanchi referred to the liberation of the western part of Nineveh Governorate said that the Popular Mobilization Forces were able to attack Daesh forces on three axes fronts in the western part of Nineveh and were able to cut off the road between Tal Afar and Mosul.


The Iraqi scholar described the victory over the Daesh Takfiri terrorist phenomenon as “near” and praised the efforts of the Iraqi army fighters and the Popular Mobilization Forces to liberate Mosul International Airport, the al-Ghazlani military base and a number of villages near Tal Afar.


He said that the people of Tal Afar are brave people such that one of the families living in this area lost eleven members in the fight against Daesh.


Hujjat al-Islam al-Qubanchi pointed to the martyrdom of a group of clerics and missionaries in various operations against Daesh and said, “The martyrdom of seminaries students demonstrates their active participation in cultural, political and jihadi arenas. Missionaries from the seminaries who are present on the frontlines of the fight against terrorism have been able to raise the spirituality of the Popular Mobilization Forces.”


Najaf’s Friday prayer leader invited the youth to join the seminaries and to learn Islamic sciences and said, “After Saddam’s heinous actions against the seminaries and sources of emulation, the seminaries have rebounded dramatically.”


His Eminence referred to the April 2017 parliamentary elections in Iraq and said competent individuals must register as candidates in these critical elections and added that the people must also participate in a passionate manner and vote in a just manner.


Hujjat al-Islam Qubanchi pointed to Amnesty International’s condemnation of the racist remarks made by American president Donald Trump, saying that Trump seeks to establish a spirit of hatred in the world and added, “From Trump’s comments, it’s unclear to which side he seeks to drag the world.”


He pointed to Trump’s insults against Muslims said, “Trump has threatened to expel 11 million immigrants living in the US from the country.”
