RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Samsamoddin Ghavami referred to the principles and elements of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution and said, “The foundations of the Revolution are based on Islam, which is formed on monotheism, the Hereafter and imamate. Because the Iranian people have a belief in the Hereafter, the revolution was concluded as a divine duty, not as a political and economical duty.”
The head of the Foundation for the Jurisprudence of Islamic Management added that imamate is considered one of the foundations of the Islamic Revolution and the people consider the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, as the deputy of Imam al-Mahdi and his revolutionary instructions are performed in the same manner as the legal instructions of a jurisprudent.
“The slogan of ‘Down with America’ is considered as tabarra [disassociation with those who oppose God, the Prophet Muhammad and his family] and Wilayat al-Faqih is considered as tawalla [loving the Ahlul-Bayt],” he added.
Hujjat al-Islam Ghavami said that the victory of the Islamic Revolution was due to divine assistance and added, “Since God has promised to assist the believers in the Holy Quran, when the people rise up to advance the faith and justice, God will assist them and as long as the revolution protects its original spirit, God will grant the people victory.”
The Friday prayer leader of Pardisan said that the relationship between this system and the people is like the relationship of the Imam with the Muslim ummah and explained, “Such that if there are no followers in congregational prayers, there will not be an imam. The people are the basis of this system and the larger the population is, its friends will be fewer and the enemies will be more hopeful.”
Hujjat al-Islam Ghavami stated that if the people support the Imam and are present on the scene, the Prophet Muhammad will be victorious and if the people aren’t present, the Imam will sit at his home for 25 years and will be martyred and will ultimately be absent.
He added that the reappearance of Imam al-Mahdi will also occur when the people are present on the scene, saying, “Thus, this will lead to the power and authority of the people.”
