RNA – Speaking at a ceremony held by Hezbollah in the southern Lebanese town of Jieh, Hujjat al-Islam Naim Qasim, the Deputy Secretary General of Hezbollah, said that the priority of the Islamic Resistance is to fight against the Zionist regime and the Takfiri terrorists who are the branches and tools of the Zionist regime.
The Lebanese Shi’ah cleric said that every movement, government or group that seeks the implementation of the Zionist project and fights against the Islamic Resistance, we will fight them as part of the war against the Zionist regime.
“Some groups wonder why Hezbollah, which is a Lebanese group, is engaged in fighting outside of Lebanon and we tell them, ‘have we gone to war with the Zionists or have they come to Lebanon and occupied our land?’” he said.
He pointed out that Hezbollah intended to prevent reoccupation of the country and said, “If we allowed the Takfiris to overthrow the government in Syria, many Lebanese towns and villages would now be occupied by the Takfiris.”
Hujjat al-Islam Qasim said, “Should we expect the Takfiris to establish an emirate in Lebanon and then not go to war? We went to Syria to defend Lebanon, the Islamic Resistance, the Islamic ummah and the future of our children against the Zionists because they’re fighting us while dressed in the clothes of Takfiris.”
His Eminence pointed to the great achievements by the Islamic Resistance in the war against the Takfiri terrorist groups said the correctness of the decision of the Resistance isn’t hidden for anyone and added, “If the Resistance wasn’t present in Syria and in the war against the Takfiris, currently Lebanon would be the scene of tension and unrest.”
The senior Hezbollah official stated, “Hezbollah’s presence in Syria closes the gate against the entrance of Takfiris into Lebanon and for this reason, many former opponents of our presence in Syria have now praised our presence.”
Hujjat al-Islam Qasim stressed upon Hezbollah’s continued presence in Syria saying, “Why are the opponents of the presence of the Islamic Resistance in Syria tired of the sacrifices of the Resistance? Do you want to lay the groundwork for the Takfiris comfort or the satisfaction of the United States and the Zionist regime?”
