RNA – During his jurisprudence course at Qom’s Grand Mosque, Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem-Shirazi, a senior Shi’ah source of emulation, addressed the seminary students in regard to the recent incidents in Bahrain.
The cleric condemned the Bahraini regime’s measures in oppressing its people and religious scholars saying, “Recently, the Al Khalifah rulers have decided to tighten up their inhumane oppressive measures against the people of Bahrain including Ayatollah Isa Qasim, the leader of Bahrain’s Shi’ah Muslims.”
Warning the Al Khalifah about the consequences of their atrocities against Bahrain’s Shi’ahs, Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi said, “You must learn your lesson by looking at what happened to dictators like Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the former Shah of Iran, and Libya’s overthrown dictator Muammar al-Qadhafi, the same fate might be awaiting you to answer for the innocent lives you’ve ended.”
