RNA – Hujjat al-Islam Abbas-Ali Akhtari spoke at a protest by students of the Islamic Seminary of Qom at Faydhiyah Seminary in condemnation of Al Khalifah regime’s suppression of the revolutionary people of Bahrain and the attack against the spiritual leader of the tiny Persian Gulf country’s Shi’ah majority, Ayatollah Isa Qasim.
The Secretary-General of Ahlul-Bayt World Assembly referred to the long list of crimes by the Al Saud and Al Khalifah monarchies against the people of Bahrain, especially over the past six years, and said, “The people of Bahrain are demanding their basic rights of citizenship while the Al Khalifah and Al Saud regimes suppress their legitimate demands.”
He pointed out that Al Khalifah are acting in a hostile and aggressive with the people despite the Bahraini people demanding their demands in a peaceful manner under the leadership of Ayatollah Qasim while the criminal rulers of Bahrain are imprisoning and torturing people.
Hujjat al-Islam Akhtari referred to the Bahraini people’s six years of perseverance, resilience and determination to achieve their goals and reminded the people of Bahrain, “Stripping the citizenship of Ayatollah Qasim and many Bahraini’s is an improper action and nowhere in the world has such a step been taken.”
He referred to the siege of the house of Ayatollah Qasim and said that the Bahraini people will defend their leader in all aspects and due to the situation in the country, Bahraini scholars have appealed for Muslims around the world appeal to assist them.
His Eminence stressed that the sources of emulation and the people of Bahrain have come to the streets in protest to announce that if the criminal government wants to harass Ayatollah Qasim, they will give with their blood to defend him.
Hujjat al-Islam Akhtari pointed out that the government of Bahrain must put an end to the problems in the country through dialogue and granting the right of citizenship to the people and added, “Today, the seminary is the base of the revolution and by attending this protest, seminarians announce that the Al Khalifah regime must take a lesson from its own past and from Yazidis and tyrants and end their crimes committed against the oppressed people of this nation.”
He pointed out that Muslims and free people of the world are on the side of the oppressed people of Bahrain and reiterated that Iran’s support for the oppressed people of the world doesn’t constitute interference and we hope that the leaders of Bahrain will heed the advice and guidance of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, and the sources of emulation.
The Iranian cleric said that the US and Saudi Arabia, especially its young defence minister, Muhammad ibn Salman, know that the advice of Islamic countries and the commands of Iran’s Supreme Leader and the positions of its authorities don’t constitute interference in their affairs.
Hujjat al-Islam Akhtari said that the United Kingdom has been interfering in various countries for 400 years. “How can they say Iran is interfering in the affairs of Islamic countries while this is one of their priorities,” he stressed.
