RNA – Speaking at a conference entitled “The Revolutionary Seminary and Its Mission,” Ayatollah Abbas Ka’bi, the representative of Khuzestan in the Assembly of Experts said that in the next ten years, the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Seminaries will build history and destiny and Iran needs a smart strategy to preserve, deepen and advance the discourse of the Islamic Revolution on the path of the late Imam Khomeini and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei.
The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom stated that the future stage is the confrontation between two movements, one movement which follows the true Islamic Republic in order to establish the rule of Islam, justice, attention to the poor and fighting against the imperialists and believes that Iran should be developed and should work toward the achievement of an Islamic civilization.
Ayatollah Ka’bi said that the other movement seeks to overthrow Iran’s Islamic system of government and this seditious movement doesn’t mind if the name of the Islamic Republic and the rest of its structure remain but wants the content of Iran’s government to follow the Western model of development and Western thought and to turn toward the US for direction.
“They want an American-style republic with only the name and outward appearance of an Islamic Republic to remain,” he said.
He added, “The movement which was formed from the sedition of 2009 seeks to implement a plan to create a false Islamic Republic.”
The teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom referred to the agenda of this movement and noted that in the first stage, the enemies want to destroy Iran’s animosity toward the US and eventually normalize relations with the US.
Ayatollah Ka’bi said that through the negotiations with the P5+1 group of countries and the JCPOA, the US sought to infiltrate, impose upon and transform Iran’s Islamic system through groups within Iran’s government and to push the country towards submission to the US.
“They also sought to set up a network of liberal and moderate elites to achieve their goals to form a non-revolutionary and neutral government which paves the way for a false Islamic Republic,” he said.
Ayatollah Ka’bi said this movement seeks to bypass the system of Wilayat al-Faqih [Guardianship of the Jurisprudent] and the Supreme Leader because they believe that the main obstacle in the implementation of their goals is a government which is led by clerics and therefore seek a future government which is minus Wilayat al-Faqih.
