RNA – During his jurisprudence course at Qom’s Grand Mosque, Grand Ayatollah Hoseyn Nouri-Hamadani noted that the current Iranian month of Bahman celebrates the victory of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution, which began on 22 Bahman [11 February] and said, “In 1979, the entire country was in turmoil and was on the verge of revolution and the people were awaiting the return of Imam Khomeini with a certain passion and glory.”
He stressed that the clergy led the fight against the tyrannical Pahlavi regime and stressed, “It is essential to explain the history of period of the Islamic Revolution to the youth and this era of history must never be forgotten.”
In another part of his speech, Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani referring to the election of Donald Trump as the president of the United States and the recent events in that country said, “The issues that were expressed during the election reflect the disintegration of the United States from within.”
The source of emulation said that the United States is incapable of managing itself and has a lot of internal problems, including internal opposition and conflict and said, “If the United States cannot handle its own affairs then why does it claim to have the right to manage other countries?”
He said that the Iranian people must realize that relying on foreigners is treachery and added that the enemies and imperialist powers have never cared for Iran and those who want to rely on the enemies or compromise with them is a traitor.
“We must work on building up our people from within and rely on internal capacities,” he said.
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani emphasized that just as the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, the United States will also collapse given the widespread corruption in the country.
