RNA – In a meeting with Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, the head of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought and Manouchehr Mottaki, the deputy of the international department of this organization, Grand Ayatollah Hoseyn Nouri-Hamadani referred to the need to properly and formally introduce the Sunni and Shi’ah schools of thought in the Islamic world and added that Sunni school of thought must be properly defined in relation to Wahhabism.

“We must have unity with Sunnis and we must not allow anyone to assume that all Sunnis are Takfiris and Wahhabis,” he said.

The renowned source of emulation pointed out that while we have power and the ability to propagate our teachings, we should leave the door open to debate with the so-called English Shi’ahs, who are supported by the government of the United Kingdom.

In regard to this group, Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani said, “We must say to them ‘if you are truly Shi’ahs, why don’t you defend the holy shrines in Syria? It’s clear that your words are lies.”

He added that we must expose their widespread propaganda and we must also announce our rejection of Wahhabism and Takfiris and expose their thinking and stress upon the commonalities between Sunnis and Shi’ahs.

The revered cleric stressed, “English Shi’ism, which has nothing to do with the culture of the Ahlul-Bayt, is silent in the face of the enemies and it’s clear that if someone is a follower of the Ahlul-Bayt, they will stand against the enemies and sacrifice themselves on this path.”

Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani emphasized on the lack of flexibility in the definition of pure Islam and stated that care must be taken that the definition of Islam and Shi’ism is not too flexible because pure Islam exists in the school of the Ahlul-Bayt and has been explained by the late Imam Khomeini and Ayatollah Khamenei.

“If the definition of Islam is too flexible, they will perceive that they are correct and that the Shi’ah school of thought is false,” he noted.

His Eminence referred to the execution of three young Bahraini revolutionaries by the Al Khalifah regime in Bahrain and stated that Islam knows no boundaries and isn’t related to a few countries and said, “We must create such power that the rulers of Bahrain do not dare to martyr our youths and put Shi’ahs under pressure or that the British Prime Minister cannot incite Bahrain’s rulers against Islam.”

In conclusion, he stressed, “Today is not a day of silence and is a day of movement and action and one shrouded person must fight against the Al Saud and Al Khalifah on the battlefield.
