RNA – Ayatollah Ali-Reza Arafi, head of the Iranian Islamic Seminaries, addressed a group of Iranian clerics from the city of Bonab, East Azerbaijan province, in which he elaborated on the significant impact of Mahdism on the Islamic Revolution of Iran as well as in other parts of the world.
Qom’s Friday prayer leader asserted that the victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution paved the way for the world to get to know more about Mahdism and Shi’ah Islam and said, “The Islamic Revolution and Mahdism are interwoven in a way that the Islamic Revolution promoted the concept of Mahdism worldwide, in the same vein, the Revolution was influenced by the Mahdism doctrine.”
Ayatollah Arafi further reiterated that the Islamic Revolution of Iran has promoted the teachings of Imam Husayn as well as Mahdism adding, “The passion of Ashura, along with Mahdism, have been spread worldwide as a result of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, this great movement led by Imam Khomeini opened up possibilities for the world to get to know more about genuine Shi’ism.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, the head of the Iranian Seminaries noted that American Sunnism and British Shi’ism are the enemies’ plots to undermine the rapid growth of Islam worldwide and said, “British Shi’ism and their radical beliefs impede the growth of Shi’ah Islam in the world. If we adhere to the patterns drawn by late Ayatollah Boroujerdi and Imam Khomeini and act according to them, Shi’ah Islam will be greatly promoted.”
