RNA – Grand Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi, a senior Najaf-based source of emulation, received Alaeddin Boroujerdi, the chairman for the Committee of Foreign Policy and National Security of the Iranian Parliament, along with an Iranian delegation on Wednesday, January 18, in the Iraqi city of Najaf.
During the meeting, the source of emulation urged both countries of Iran and Iraq to boost their bilateral ties in different areas including security and economic fields, “All countries in the region must realize the importance of fighting against terrorism since it is the enemy of Islam.”
“Terrorists destroy everything, That’s why the regional countries need to step up and come up with a solution to uproot them from the Middle East,” Ayatollah al-Najafi said.
At the end of the meeting, Alaeddin Boroujerdi thanked the senior cleric for his warm welcome and wise guidelines.
