RNA – Speaking at the commemoration of the 61st anniversary of the martyrdom of Navvab-Safavi at the Holy Shrine of Imam al-Ridha in Mashhad, Hujjat al-Islam Heydar Moslehi stated the enemies plan to create sedition during the lead-up to this years’ Iranian presidential election and said, “One of the approaches of the enemies is to analyze their past mistakes. They have a great plan to create sedition during next years’ elections.”
The former Minister of Information said that the enemies have analyzed their mistakes from the sedition of 2009 and said that in the lead-up to the May 19th, 2017 election, they must attract people from the middle class and the lower classes to the streets because during the events of 2009, the middle and upper classes were involved and they weren’t successful.
In another part of his speech, Hujjat al-Islam Moslehi referred to the continuous sabotage by the enemies against Iran’s Islamic Revolution in an attempt order to prevent the realization of the ideals of the late Imam Khomeini and said, “Today, the enemies know that the success of the Islamic Revolution is tantamount to the elimination of the imperialist powers and for this reason, they have planned to infiltrate the system.”
He said that this project isn’t a new phenomenon, but today their intention is to create a miscalculation for the people, officials and elites and during the upcoming election, the enemies want the Iranian people choose the “wrong person.”
The Iranian cleric said that one example of the enemies’ infiltration of Iran is achieved by threating to place the “military option” by convincing the people to think that Iran will be subject to a military attack so that they will elect someone who won’t start a war. “Through these threats, the enemies seek to provoke Iranian officials, people and the elites,” he said.
Hujjat al-Islam Moslehi explained that this is an example of the enemies’ psychological operations and added that Iran’s nuclear negotiations with the P5+1 group of countries lasted two years and every time we got close to the time of negotiating, US President Barack Obama spoke of the military option.
He noted that Iran’s Foreign Minister, Mohammad-Javad Zarif, was confused and said, “If the US wants to, it can destroy our military facilities with one button. At the same time, we said we will show our military facilities to them so they know that this isn’t true.”
In further remarks, he said that for more than five years, all European countries as well as Persian Gulf kingdoms have said “Bashar al-Asad must go” but the Islamic Resistance Axis is steadfast and says, “Bashar al-Asad must stay.”
“See whose statement has been realized? The enemies want to prevent the Islamic Awakening,” he said.
