RNA – Speaking during a meeting with a group of patients at the Imam Khomeini Relief Committee in Semnan, Ayatollah Sayyed Hashem Bathaei, the representative of Tehran in the Assembly of Experts, said, “Fortunately, we live in a time where our system of government is legitimate.”
The teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom added that in the past, the enemies didn’t allow Iran to crystallize its religious ideals and beliefs and limited religious practices such as prayer and fasting and if the people wanted to do something more than this, it was considered to be a political issue which would be problematic.
He also offered his condolences on the recent death of Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi-Rafsanjani, the chairman of the Expediency Discernment Council, and praised his services to Iran and added, “Today, due to the grace of God and the help of the people, the Supreme Leader, has advanced the great Islamic Revolution. For nearly 40 years, the Iranian people have stood at the foot of the Revolution despite all the difficulties and difficulties they have faced.”
Ayatollah Bathaei stated that deviant propaganda has overwhelmed life today and said, “We are surrounded by deviant media organizations and the world has mobilized against the Islamic Republic, its ideals and beliefs.”
He noted that since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, the Iranian people have always demonstrated their support of the Revolution on very sensitive occasions and an example of this has been seen in regard to the death of Ayatollah Hashemi-Rafsanjani.
“Despite the disparate atmosphere that existed against him, due to the command of the Leader, the Iranian people have performed their duties in a timely and correct manner,” he said.
Ayatollah Bathaei stated that today, the United States, the United Kingdom and the imperialist powers have attempted through various means to return to Iran but the strong faith of the Iranian people has prevented them.
“Of course, this doesn’t mean that we think that nothing will happen to us and we can sit by comfortably,” he said.
The representative of Tehran in the Assembly of Experts stated that Iran must maintain its integrity and leave it to future generations and added that making a revolution is difficult but maintaining a revolution is a much more difficult, especially in the current era where the enemies have targeted the youth and society, especially in the fields of ethics, beliefs, chastity and in regard to the hijab.
“They seek to weaken religiosity in society in order that the people take religion lightly,” he added.
Ayatollah Bathaei added that officials must act to prevent harm to the Revolution and the people remain present on the scene. Also, the government and officials should work hard and be steadfast on the path of Revolution.
