RNA – Addressing a large and fervent congregation of the people gathered for Friday prayers at the University of Tehran, Ayatollah Mohammad Emami-Kashani said, “The global arrogance is looking for creating violence in the Middle East by disintegrating Syria and Iraq.”
He strongly blasted the US and its allies for supporting the Daesh terrorist group in Syria and Iraq, and said, “The fall of the Daesh in Syria and Iraq is very near.”
In relevant remarks in late December, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hoseyn Jaberi-Ansari in a meeting with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri in Beirut called for collective efforts to fight terrorism and extremism in the region.
“Resolution of regional crises not possible without fighting terrorism,” Jaberi-Ansari said during the meeting in the Lebanese capital.
The Iranian deputy foreign minister, meantime, said that Lebanon is an exemplary country in case of resistance against foreign occupation and Zionist regime’s expansionism.
“Lebanon is a good example of co-existence of various social, political, religious and racial groups in the region,” Jaberi-Ansari said.
He, meantime, called the election of new president and formation of new government in Lebanon as “positive” development for the region.
