Sidon Friday Prayer Leader:
Rasa – Ayatollah al-Nablusi said that an agreement to end the war would be a major setback to the seditious and subversive project that the Zionists have imposed on Syria.

RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon in the southern Lebanese city of Sidon’s Sayyidah al-Zahra Husayniyah, Ayatollah Afif al-Nablusi condemned the recent Israeli missile attack against the Mezzeh Military Airport near the Syrian capital, Damascus, on Friday morning.

Syrian state-run TV, citing the Syrian Arab Army’s High Command, reported that the missiles had been fired from an area close to the Sea of Galilee in the north of the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories toward the airport’s compound.

The Lebanese Shi’a scholar said the consequences of resolving the crisis in Syria will be seen at the upcoming talks in Kazakh capital Astana.

“With this airstrike, the Zionist enemy has entered and has launched the Syrian conflict into a new phase,” he stressed.

Ayatollah al-Nablusi added that Zionist enemies have been frustrated by the achievements of the Syrian Arab Army and its allies, especially in Aleppo, and have sought to prevent any political solution to end the war in Syria.

“An agreement to end the war would be a major setback to the seditious and subversive project that the Zionists have imposed on Syria,” he said.

He said that prolonging the crisis in Syria and the continuation of the bloodshed in the country, as well as preoccupying Arab nations with sedition and consequences, is the best guarantor of the interests of the Zionist regime.

His Eminence said that the new crimes by the Zionist regime are the effect of a major defeat which the Syria army and the Islamic Resistance have inflicted on that regime.

“In this same regard, the Zionists have attempted through various media, political and military maneuvers to thwart the efforts to end the Syrian crisis so that Syria does not emerge from this war victorious,” he said.

In another part of his speech, Ayatollah al-Nablusi referred to the internal situation in Lebanon and said that the current process of reform must continue, and in this regard, attention must be given to the deprived people in society in terms of improving conditions and creating dignified employment conditions, as well as holding parliamentary elections on time and in accordance with the new election law, in order to achieve just representation.
