RNA – In an interview with reporters, Hujjat al-Islam Na’im Qasim, the Deputy Secretary-General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah Islamic Resistance group, pointed to the defeat of the Takfiri terrorists in in the war with the Islamic Resistance in Syria and said that the Takfiri phenomenon believe that they can achieve victory by engaging in suicide bombings and also that with these weapons, they are undefeatable but the Syrian army and Hezbollah were able to overcome these weapons.
Last December, the Syrian army, with assistance from Hezbollah, established full control over Aleppo, which had long been divided between government forces in the west and Takfiri terrorists in the east.
The city’s recapture is widely seen as a crushing blow to the militants and their foreign supporters, who have been actively working to topple the Damascus government since March 2011.
Hujjat al-Islam Qasim added that Takfiris assume that they can empty the squares by engaging in suicide bombings but elements of the Islamic Resistance and the Syrian army, with their faith and persistence, successfully managed to defeat these weapons and changed the equation of the war in Aleppo, which has been called the “great epic of Aleppo.”
The Lebanese cleric said that the victory in Aleppo was a divine gift which was achieved due to the blood of the martyrs and their persistence in the war against the Takfiri ideology.
“Hezbollah supported the political solution and the ceasefire in Syria as long as this will contribute to developing a solution to end this war,” he said.
Hujjat al-Islam Qasim pointed out the role of the Resistance Axis, as well as Russia’s role, in the fight against terrorism and said that Hezbollah does not have any political role in Syria or in the region and is only interested in peace and security in Lebanon and other neighbouring countries.
