RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Abdullah al-Daqqaq, the representative of the Bahraini Shi’ah spiritual leader Ayatollah Isa Qasim in Iran, referred to the anniversary of the execution of martyr Shaykh Nimr Baqir al-Nimr by Saudi Arabia, and said his blood will shake the throne of the House of Saud.
“Although, it has been a year after since his martyrdom that the body of Shaykh al-Nimr has been separated his from family and lovers, the ideology of this martyr still resonates over the heads of the oppressors,” he stressed.
The Saudis executed Shaykh al-Nimr on January 2, 2016, defying international calls to release him. The execution sparked international condemnations and angry protests in many countries.
The Bahraini Shi’ah cleric added that stigma over the execution of Shaykh al-Nimr will remain on the forehead of the Al Saud regime forever and the passage of time cannot erase this crime.
Hujjat al-Islam al-Daqqaq said that the martyrdom of Shaykh al-Nimr has had a profound effect on the entire region and added that Shaykh al-Nimr’s blood will not be limited to Saudi Arabia but rather his martyrdom has also been an inspiration to all free people of the region and will train a new generation with the same thought and courage.
“This is especially true given that the nations of the Persian Gulf region are facing oppression and oppressive rulers,” he said.
He stressed that the execution of Shaykh al-Nimr can be considered as a new chapter in the criminal and dictatorial monarchies of the region and marks the beginning of a new era of organized repression against the Shi’ahs in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
“The execution of Shaykh al-Nimr presents a message for the opponents of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Through this act, the Al Saud and Al Khalifah sought to intimidate the opposition who sought nothing else but to achieve their legitimate rights,” he added.
Hujjat al-Islam al-Daqqaq stressed that despite the will of Saudi Arabia, the execution of Shaykh al-Nimr didn’t cause fear among the protestors and revolutionaries of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, but rather it injected new blood into the veins of the revolution.
He added that the foolish decisions made by the Al Saud and Al Khalifah regimes are linked with the failures of the Saudi-led axis in the region and pointed to the success of the Resistance Axis in the region.
“There is no secret that the executions, repression and of murder of its citizens in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain are an attempt to cover up Saudi Arabia’s the failings in Syria, Iraq and Yemen,” he added.
