RNA – In a meeting with a group of Shi’ah clerics from Nigeria, Ayatollah Abbas Ka’bi, the representative of Khuzestan province in Iran’s Assembly of Experts, stated that the actions of Wahhabis are based on hatred, ignorance and enmity towards the Islamic ummah and added that through deception, Wahhabis launched the massacre in Zaria against Shaykh Ibrahim Zakzaky, the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria and the Shi’ahs of Nigeria.
“Whoever digs a hole for others, sooner or later, they will be caught up in it and the Wahhabis will eventually face the same consequences,” he said.
The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom added that the Islamic Movement of Nigeria should continue its adherence to peacefulness, wisdom, patience, morality, unity, the law and commitment to national interest if it observes these issues, it will be able achieve its goals.
Ayatollah Ka’bi described the animosity of the enemies toward the truth as “a natural concern” and stated that the fundamental issue is protecting one’s faith and Muslims shouldn’t create discord and dissension with one another over small differences because dissension in the Islamic ummah is a deadly poison.
He said that occupation in trivialities and forgetfulness of fundamental principles and issues is one of the great mistakes and said the Islamic Movement of Nigeria must introduce pure Islam which is based on monotheism, justice, truth, wisdom, reason and logic to the people of the world.
The teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom added, “The end of ignorance, poverty, corruption and ignorance are some of the goals explained by genuine Islam.”
Ayatollah Ka’bi said that Islam is disgusted by terrorist actions and noted that some seek to destroy Islam of the Ahlul-Bayt, make governments and Sunnis fear Shi’ahs and vice-versa and also some others assist the enemies financially.
His Eminence said that Shaykh Zakzaky was an “ambassador of peace” and said the Islamic Movement of Nigeria must announce to the media and officials that it doesn’t seek tension with the government and various groups or to overthrow the government and seeks abide by the law and seeks peace.
He stressed that the Islam of the Ahlul-Bayt is far from the path of extremism and follows the path of moderation.
Ayatollah Ka’bi said that many African countries have many human and natural resources and thus it’s their right that their countries are developed.
On December 12, 2015, Nigerian soldiers attacked Shi’ah Muslims attending a ceremony at a religious centre in the city of Zaria in Kaduna state, accusing them of blocking the convoy of the army’s chief of staff and attempting to assassinate him.
The following day, Nigerian forces also raided the home of Shaykh Zakzaky and arrested the prominent cleric after reportedly killing those attempting to protect him.
