RNA – In a meeting with a group of clerics from Lebanon, Ayatollah Najmoddin Tabasi, a member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom, said that in the past, the Zionist regime entered and left various cities in Lebanon with complete ease, including Sabra and Shatila, and no one dared to oppose them but now the country has gained power to such a level that they threaten Tel Aviv.
The Iranian cleric added that during the 2006 Israel 33-Day War against Lebanon, the Zionist regime wasn’t able to occupy even one metre of Lebanese territory and this reflects the dignity of the people of this country.
Referring to Israel’s inability to fight the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, he said that terrorist movements such as Daesh and Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (formerly the al-Nusrah Front) are fighting on behalf of the Zionist regime in the Middle East and are committing various crimes in the region.
Ayatollah Tabasi added that Islamic countries are grappling with various problems and crises while citizens of the Zionist regime are busy at discos and attending parties in complete safely.
His Eminence described Saudi Arabia as “absolute evil” and said that anywhere in the world where acts of terrorism are carried out, we must look for the Saudi Arabia’s footprints and added, “The House of Saud must stop its support of Takfiri terrorism.”
He said that the fundamental problem in the world today is Wahhabism and said, “Wahhabism and Zionism are walking in the same direction and every action that the Zionists don’t dare to do, the Wahhabis are willing to do it without any shame.”
“The Wahhabis and Zionists are willing to use any means to destroy Islam,” he added.
Ayatollah Tabasi said that Wahhabis are the enemies of all religions and noted that while Wahhabis claim to be Sunnis and the followers of Salafi thought, Sunnis and Salafis are innocent of their claims. “Shi’ahs will not remain silent over the actions of the Wahhabis,” he stressed.
The Iranian cleric stressed that terrorists seek to distort the image of Islam, to sow discord and kill Muslims.
He called for a global alliance to combat terrorism and added, “If scholars, Islamic centres and Islamic institutions don’t bring about justice, the Muslim ummah will be destroyed.”
Ayatollah Tabasi referred to Saudi Arabia’s crimes in Yemen and stressed, “God-willing, the oppressed people of Yemen will be victorious over the Saudis and will step on the necks of this oppressive regime.”
He strongly criticized the onslaught of Islamophobia against mosques in various Western countries and added that so far more than 100 mosques have been attacked by Islamophobes.
