RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Hoseyn Ebrahimi, a member of the Combatant Clergy Association, referred to the reaction of Iranian officials in regard to the extension of the Iran Sanctions Act for another ten years, which according to Iran is a violation of the JCPOA, by the United States, saying that the US’ disloyalty and unfaithfulness overclouded the end of the JCPOA and its aims weren’t achieved.
The Iranian cleric added that by increasing the sanctions and creating new restrictions on Iran, the US demonstrated their continuing disloyalty.
He said the US showed that in common and legal terms, they will not abide by any agreement, thus, Iranians must note that having confidence in the US and even the West was a grave mistake.
Hujjat al-Islam Ebrahimi added, “Just as the Islamic Resistance has stood firm in Syria and achieved victory in Aleppo, Iranian government officials also must make serious efforts to counter the disloyal actions of the US.”
His Eminence said that which the Islamic Resistance has attained has brought them honour because the terrorists were destroyed and the Syrian people were liberated. “We hope that the Yemeni people achieve victory in the same manner,” he added.
The member of the Combatant Clergy Association referred to the guidelines and emphasis by the Supreme Leader in regard to resistance, and said, “We must be active in all fields – jihad, political and economical. The model of the resistance during the Iran-Iraq War is a good example for the Islamic Resistance.”
Hujjat al-Islam Ebrahimi stated that for the those who say that Iran’s problems can be solved by aligning with the US, the US’ repeated disloyalty and violations of the JCPOA must be considered as necessary lessons and warnings to such individuals which underline the advances made against the imperialist powers and they must use the capacities of their country.
His Eminence added that the violation of the JCPOA and the continuous disloyalty of the US is an issue which mustn’t be forgotten and noted that the US isn’t trustworthy because they hold a long-standing grudge against the principles of the Islamic Revolution.
He said that in these circumstances, unity among officials in opposition to the US is important and expressed hope that the government, in coordination with all levels of government, gives an appropriate response to the disloyal enemies.
