RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon in the southern Lebanese city of Sidon’s al-Quds Mosque, Shaykh Maher Hammoud referred to the liberation of the Syrian city of Aleppo and stated that the current events in Syria’s second-largest city were “a real disaster” and said, “Unfortunately, most of the political, religious and cultural elites have rejected a balanced approach to the present reality and have insisted on their previous positions which are based on an incorrect political analysis.”
The president of the World Union of Resistance Scholars said that the beliefs of these people are based on illusion and stated, “Aleppo has been liberated and has been returned to the heart of our homeland and we will witness the collapse of the murderous terrorists and the failure of the great conspiracy to destroy and divide Syria.”
Shaykh Hammoud said the project of servitude to the Zionist regime has also been overthrown and also the liberation of the city has exposed the falsehood of the slogans of those falsely dressed in the clothes of Islam. “Given the situation, how can we continue to take such a position in regard to this event?” he questioned.
He explained that the mercenaries’ media networks have engaged in providing a false and fabricated face of Syria to the world and on the basis of this false propaganda, some people have talked of the massacre of people in Aleppo by the Syrian army and their allies.
The Sunni scholar pointed out that the enemies’ project has been defeated due to their engagement in the slaughter and destruction in the region and add, “If Daesh or Jabhat Fateh al-Sham or other Takfiri terrorist groups in Syria were victorious, would the situation would be favourable for the enemies and movements and they would no longer complain?”
In conclusion, Shaykh Hammoud said the disaster in Aleppo is not limited to the destruction and killing of people or an attempt to achieve a great plot but rather the mentality of many people is that, intentionally or not, they are under the influence of the media’s propaganda which seeks to obstruct the happiness of the Islamic world over the liberation of Aleppo.
