RNA – Speaking at the Fatimah al-Zahra Women’s Seminary in Ilam, Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad-Naqi Lotfi, the representative of the Supreme Leader in Ilam province, said that the birth anniversaries of the Prophet Muhammad and Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq as well as Islamic Unity Week are important occasions in the Islamic world.
The Friday prayer leader of Ilam added that Islamic Unity Week was established by the late Imam Khomeini in order that scholars and thinkers of the Islamic world can come together in order to advance the lofty goals of Islam.
Hujjat al-Islam Lotfi stated that it’s certain that the enemies hate Islamic unity, especially the United States, the Arab reactionaries and the hypocrites within the Islamic ummah and said, “Since the beginning of the Iranian Islamic Revolution in 1979, the enemies have sought to damage the unity of the Iranian nation but above all they’ve attempted to damage the unity of the Muslim world and turn unity into division and dissension.”
He said that the Islamic ummah has accepted the leadership of the Supreme Leader, as a strategy to fight against the enemies and we’ve seen the effects of this in the successive failures of the imperialist system and their plots over the last few years in the form of a coalition which has been launched against the Islamic resistance front in Syria, Lebanon and Iraq to create divisions between the various segments of the Islamic community.
“After this, they created a very disgusting and false phenomenon known as Daesh which has shed a lot of blood and killed a large number of innocent people in order to disrupt this unity,” he added.
Hujjat al-Islam Lotfi said that we’ve seen and have evidence that the enemies have been defeated in the battle for the Syrian city of Aleppo and added this victory will not be the last victory and the battlefield isn’t small and extends to the Mosul and Lebanese fronts.
“If the Takfiris were to achieve success in these battles, ultimately Iran would face danger and they will draw a line and annex part of the country’s territory as a blow against the Islamic Revolution… which is the evil plan of the US, Israel and Arab reactionaries led by Saudi Arabia,” the Iranian cleric stated.
Hujjat al-Islam Lotfi stressed, “Thank God, we’re witnessing the decline and destruction of the Takfiri phenomenon and the victory of the Islamic Resistance and in this has been achieved in the light of the same Islamic unity that the the scholars and thinkers of the Islamic world have stressed on, be they Iranian, Iraqi, Syrian, Lebanese or Yemenis.”
