RNA - "These remarks are in line with the vain and old Islamophobia project and merely show the new ignorance ruling the US statesmen," Amoli Larijani said, addressing the judiciary officials in Tehran on Monday.

Elsewhere, he warned that the colonial countries have sown discord among different faiths and religions in the Islamic countries and divided the Muslim world into little communities, adding, "We are witnessing them pursuing the same policy in Iraq and Syria."

His remarks came after in a previously unreported video, reviewed by LobeLog, of an interview at the Republican National Convention, US National Security Advisor-designate Michael T. Flynn directly attacked Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the holy Quran and blamed the introduction of Islam for the Middle East’s alleged failure to “become modern.”

Flynn had also previously said that “fear of Muslims is rational” and described Islam as a “cancer”.
