RNA – In a meeting with the organizers of the international conference on ‘Islam and Human Rights’ in Qom on Sunday, December 4, 2016, Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem-Shirazi said, “Holding this conference is of vital importance and it will bear many fruits from various aspects.”
The Shi’ah source of emulation reiterated that introducing the world to genuine Islam is among the impacts of such conference and addressed the organizers of the event, “By holding this international conference, you are indeed serving the cause of Islam, Shi’ism, Shi’ah Seminaries as well as the Islamic establishment.”
Referring to the negative propagations against Iran and Shi’ism in the foreign media, Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi stressed the importance of introducing the world to genuine principles and doctrine of Shi’ah jurisprudence adding, “Promoting true Islam by organizing conferences and conventions will neutralize the negative propaganda and help change the world’s view regarding Iran and Shi’ah Muslims.”
Afterwards, Hujjat al-Islam Ahmad Moballeqhi, the scientific secretariat of the conference, presented a report on the ongoing activities regarding the conference.
