RNA – In the farewell and inauguration ceremony held for the head of the International Relations Office for Islamic Seminaries on Sunday, December 4 in Iran’s Qom, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Mofid Hoseyni-Kouhsari, the new head elect said, “The Islamic Seminary of Qom is the most significant and influential organization serving the cause of Imam al-Asr as well as the religion of Islam.”

 

Appreciating Hujjat al-Islam Zamani, the former deputy of international affairs at the Islamic Seminaries, services during his term, Hujjat al-Islam Hoseyni-Kouhsari added, “Hujjat al-Islam Zamani is a respected international figure whose presence in the Islamic Seminary is so valuable. I’m certain that his advices will help us through the international affairs in the Seminaries.”

 

Hujjat al-Islam Hoseyni-Kouhsari later quoted the Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei saying, “The Islamic world today is going through a historic turn and it takes a lot of responsibility to fully comprehend and manage such conditions. The events that are currently taking place in Europe, the US and the Middle East are all signs of these fundamental changes happening.”
 

The Shi’ah cleric added, “The mission to internationalize the Islamic Seminaries of Iran cannot be done by just one personality or even a group of people, rather it demands the cooperation of all organizations, personalities and parts of the seminaries in order to create an international attitude in all aspects relating to the Islamic Seminaries.”
 

“Today, the statistics show that there are almost 2.5 million Shi’ah Muslims living in Indonesia, while this number was less than 100 before the Islamic Revolution took place. it must be noted that numerous religions and sects are actively promoting their faiths in Indonesia including Baha’is, Christians and Wahhabis,” the head of the Islamic Seminary’s Office for International Relations concluded.
