RNA – During his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in Qom’s Qods Prayer Hall, Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad Sa’idi referred to this weeks’ Arba’in pilgrimage and said that although a number of pilgrims were martyred and this affected our people, this epic event made history and throughout history, crimes and torture has accompanied the movement of Arba’in.
Referring to the 37th anniversary of the establishment of the Basij militia, the custodian of the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah Qom said that reason, faith, jihad and vigilance are the foundations of the Basij and due to this, the Islamic Revolution was able to achieve victory.
He noted that Iran’s Islamic Revolution was established through the Basiji spirit and added that Iran’s victory over the enemies in the eight-year-long Iran-Iraq War was due to this same spirit. “Despite the threat of sanctions, Iran has developed and progressed in various fields because of this Basiji spirit,” he said.
Ayatollah Sa’idi also noted that the spirit of the Basij led to the expansion of the Islamic Revolution in the region and Hezbollah emerged from the spirit of the Basij and the now, the Islamic Resistance has reached such a strength that the Israel aggressor doesn’t have the courage to attack them.
His Eminence explained that the Popular Mobilization Forces has triumphed over the Takfiri forces due to their Basiji spirit and said the Basij must improve and protect themselves from dangers because the enemies are bent on creating problems for them and to destroy them from within. They seek to influence the Basij and want to replace their Basiji spirit with a spirit of despair.
“The Basij are determined that by resorting to the Quran and the family of the Prophet Muhammad and to the Supreme Leader they will put the imperialist powers and aggressors in their place,” he said.
Ayatollah Sa’idi said it was on this basis that the Supreme Leader warned the imperialist government of the United States that if they implement the Iran Sanctions Act (ISA) which extends the sanctions against Iran for another ten years, this would definitely violate the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and Iran will certainly react to such actions.
He added that all the imperialist powers of the world must know that through reliance on divine power and belief in the power of the presence of the people, the Islamic Republic of Iran has reached a stage that is not afraid of any power on earth.
Ayatollah Sa’idi offered his condolences on the passing of Ayatollah Sayyed Abdol-Karim Mousavi-Ardabili on Wednesday, November 23 and added that in addition to his academic and jurisprudential efforts, his services in the field of management were very valuable and added that he was a companion of the late Imam Khomeini and the Islamic Revolution.
