RNA – Speaking during his weekly Quranic Exegesis class in Mashhad, Ayatollah Sayyed Ahmad Alamolhoda said that in order to receive divine assistance from the angels, God Almighty said there are three conditions which must be fulfilled every time.
The Supreme Leader’s representative in Khorasan Razavi province said, “The first condition is to resist against the enemies and not to abandon the battlefield in the name of interaction and negotiation with the enemies.
He explained that abandoning the battlefield has two forms. Sometimes the troops flee but sometimes they go toward the enemies and surrender to them, which is worse than fleeing. The danger that threatens our revolution today is the same problem.”
Ayatollah Alamolhoda said that our problem today is not fleeing from the enemies, but rather our problem is submitting to the enemies and added that three meanings of the term “development” were noted in Iran after the 1979 Islamic Revolution and each of them struck a firm blow at the body of the nascent revolution.
The Iranian cleric added that one meaning was “development of engagement with the West,” which stated that Iran doesn’t seek war with the world and the adherents of this meaning thought that apart from the United States, there was no one else in the world to engage with.
“So what are anti-imperialism and war against the disbelievers who seek to overthrow Islam for? If we do not resist, they will destroy our revolution,” he stressed.
He added: “the Western development model is against the basis of our revolution because it is a leap model of development and we seek a reformist model of development”
Ayatollah Alamolhoda said second term was the “Western model of political development” which means development on the basis of Western liberal democracy wherein the people don’t have a right to interfere in politics and only have an influence through political parties and groups.
The Friday prayer leader of Mashhad said that if resistance is mixed with piety it is valuable but if it isn’t mixed with piety it becomes stubborn and has no value. The tactics of resistance should be based on piety and following the system of wilayah [guardianship].
