RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Abolhasan Hasanzadeh referred to the November 8th American presidential election and said that the general policies and strategic policies of the United States will not change with the election of a new president or through a change in political parties.

The head of Ayatollah Khamenei’s office in Ahvaz [Khuzestan province] stated that the two American presidential candidates, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, are exposing the country’s individual and partisan politics and added that such actions are unprecedented in American history and with the campaigns of such individuals, only the methods will change and there will not be any change in policy.

Hujjat al-Islam Hasanzadeh stated, “According to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei], the US seeks to achieve its security, interests and welfare through undermining the security of other countries and will not revise its general policies despite the election of a new president.”

The Friday prayer leader of Ahvaz said that the power of the two major political parties in the US, the Republican and the Democratic parties, is rooted in the traditions and policies of the country and said, “In such a country, where despite the election of independent figures in some of the elections, the assumption of power is subject to one’s membership in one of the two major parties, however such a democracy is not based on insight and knowledge.”

He pointed out that the Zionist lobbies, the media and money prevent the American people from making informed choices in the election and said that there are no principles of morality among American politicians both inside and outside the country.

“In this context, we don’t only witness immorality but also corruption among American politicians. A recent example of this is the fact that the Clinton Foundation received one million dollars from the government of Qatar,” he added.

Hujjat al-Islam Hasanzadeh referred to the financial and moral corruption in other countries, saying, “With the amount of financial and moral corruption among American politicians, how can the US claim the leadership of the world? What is worse is that some leaders of Islamic and regional countries have attempted to encourage the people of the world to accept the leadership of the US.”

His Eminence said that some individuals within Iran seek to make sense of the image of the US, either explicitly or metaphorically, while part of the true face of the US was made clear during the presidential debates.
