RNA – In an interview, Ayatollah Mohsen Faqihi, a member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom, referred to the occasion of November 4th, which marks the National Day of Fighting the Imperialist Powers in Iran and marks the anniversary of the 1979 takeover of the American embassy in Tehran.
He said, “Based on Imam Husayn’s teachings on the day of Ashura, no Muslim be burdened by humiliation and oppression.”
The senior Shi’ah cleric further highlighted the need to confront the influence of the imperialist powers of the world, saying “To fight the imperialist powers means to fight the oppressors and it means to stand up against those who violate the rights of individuals.”
Ayatollah Faqihi pointed out the reasons why the government of the United States is considered as a manifestation of imperialism in the world, saying “Today, the US government is supporting the child-killing regimes of Israel and Saudi Arabia and their hands are stained with the blood of innocent Yemeni women and children.”
“It’s our obligation to fight any imperialist or oppressive regime and one must never give up their fight against them,” he said.
“It’s our religious duty to stand against the hegemonic powers of the world. We must fight the oppressors in any part of the world and help the oppressed in any way we can,” the member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom concluded.
