RNA – Speaking in a gathering of university students from six African countries in Lebanon, Hujjat al-Islam Hasaan Abdullah, the chairman of the administrative board of the Association of Muslim Scholars of Lebanon, said that the Takfiri phenomenon presents a severe danger to the law, doctrines and concepts of the religion of Islam and presents a distorted face of Islam to the world.
He added that Takfiris demonstrate Islam as a religion which imposes itself on others in order that they can rule over them. “This is despite the fact that Islam is full of wisdom and good advice,” he said.
Hujjat al-Islam Abdullah pointed out that the central issue of the Islamic ummah is the Palestinian cause and said that all the wars that occur in the Middle East have been created on the basis of prolonging the Zionist occupation of Palestine and the survival of Israel.
The Lebanese cleric added that Muslims must recognize that Israel is the only enemy of the Islamic ummah and must strive to fight against the Zionist regime.
His Eminence said that discussions and negotiations are the only solution the disputes among Muslims and added, “Islamic and national unity is the only path toward the dignity and progress of the nation. Anyone who works toward spreading religious, sectarian, ethnic and racial differences and dissension serves the enemies of the nation, especially the Zionist enemy.”
