RNA – Speaking during a meeting with the director of the Institute for International Cultural Relations and officials from the Cultural Heritage Organization in Kashan, Ayatollah Abdonnabi Namazi discussed activities in the field of international cultural communication and said the spread of Islam and the knowledge of the Ahlul-Bayt is not only a requirement for the Muslim world but rather it is also one of the needs of the Western world.
The representative of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Kashan said that statistics show that every year, more and more people throughout the world are becoming attracted to Islam, especially among the young and educated.
In this regard, he noted that the attraction and expansion of Islam in the world is a major cause of concern among American and Western politicians because they consider Islam’s influence and progress in the world as a threat to the future of Christianity and Judaism.
Ayatollah Namazi stressed that one of the goals of the imperial powers to create proxy wars and imposed conflicts in the Islamic world is to reduce the number of Muslims in the world in order to prevent the influence and the progress of Islam around the world.
His Eminence said that today, the greatest hostility by the US and the West is toward the Islamic Republic of Iran because Iran is a base to spread Islam and the divine teachings of the Ahlul-Bayt and is the main factor is the development, influence and spread of Islam throughout the world.
He explained that the presence of foreign tourists in historical and religious sites in Iran, particularly their presence during the mourning ceremonies of Ashura and Muharram in the country’s holy cities are good opportunity for religious propagation.
Ayatollah Namazi said that people in the West, especially the youth, are ready to accept Islam but added that we are deprived of well-educated people and religious scholars and those are fluent in foreign languages. “This is a problem that the Islamic Seminary must give importance to solving in order to promote Islamic teachings and spread Islam,” he said.
The Iranian cleric added that Ayatollah Khamenei’s two letters to the youth of Europe and North America indicated that if the Supreme Leader did not see any context or capabilities in the West, he would not have written these letters for young people of the West and these two letters were given a lot of reflection in the US and the West.
