RNA – Speaking at a mourning ceremony in the city of Sarab. East Azerbaijan province, Hujjat al-Islam Hadi Malakouti, the representative of East Azerbaijan in the Assembly of Experts, said that studying the tragedy of Ashura shows us that the main cause of this great and bitter disaster in Islamic history was the lack of insight among the Islamic ummah.
The Iranian cleric said that survival and continuation of the Islamic system of government depends on adherence to Wilayat al-Faqih (Guardianship of the Jurisprudent) and the insight of the nation.
Adding that the most important message of Ashura is recognition and adherence of the Imam of the time, he said, “If today, the Wali al-Faqih (Guardian-Jurisprudent) is the deputy of Imam al-Mahdi during his occultation and we do not comply with his command it is possible that the bitter tragedy of Karbala could be repeated.”
Hujjat al-Islam Malakouti emphasized that the survival of Islam and the promotion of Islamic values in society depends on the promotion of the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom and added, “All of the efforts by the enemies are focused at making us forget the culture of sacrifice, martyrdom, jihad and rising up against the oppressors. We must not loose the insight of our Leader.”
He said that unity, empathy and adherence to guardianship are among the lofty goals of the Iranian Islamic Revolution and added: “Today, the enemies have recognized the status and role of the Supreme Leader and for this reason, they have attempted sow dissension among the people and officials through various tricks and plots. The most important conspiracy by the enemies is a polarized society.”
The renowned teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom stressed that there is an unbroken bond between the Imam and the nation and that all the efforts by the arrogant powers and the enemies will continue until the firm knot between the people and guardianship is torn apart and the people become distrustful of the goals of the Islamic system and the blood of the martyrs.
Hujjat al-Islam Malakouti said that enemies think of every trick and weapon to create insecurity in Iran and to destroy the unity of the people and explained, “As long as ‘Basiji thinking’ exists among the wise leaders, the loyal support of the ummah remains among the community and the people continue to support the Islamic system and the Islamic Revolution, the enemies will not be able to implement their evil purposes in the Muslim community.”
