RNA – Speaking during a meeting at with officials at Esfahan’s Red Crescent office, Ayatollah Sayyed Abolhasan Mahdavi stated that some might claimed that Islam has caused Iranians to lose their rich culture.
“If we use Arabic language in our daily conversations, it is because the Arabic language is the language of our religion, the language of the Quran. If we look a little further, we will find that more than the penetration of Arabic into the Persian language, English has penetrated into Persian,” he said.
Ayatollah Mahdavi said that by plotting and scheming against the Indian subcontinent, the British Empire changed the Persian language, which was the lingua franca and widely used official language of the Indian subcontinent, to the English language.
“About two hundred years ago, the British entered India and because of their evil, they banned the Persian language to such an extent that now only a few people can speak the Persian language in India,” he said.
His Eminence said that cause of most of the corruption in the world is the British. Iran was made up of several current countries of the world but the British exploited the stupidity of the Iranian kings and divided the country into parts so that they could easily colonized the various countries and now they seek to break up Iraq and Syria.
The teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Esfahan said that the Western powers have created ideologies like Wahhabism, Salafism, Takfirism in the Arabian Peninsula and Baha’ism in Iran and groups like Daesh to cause dissension between Muslim countries and they still support these groups.
Ayatollah Mahdavi said, “We should be sensitive over the behaviour of the enemies rather than show sensitivity over our language.”
