RNA – Speaking at a gathering at Mulla Sadiq Mujtahid-Qomi Seminary in Qom, on Monday, September 19, Ayatollah Ali-Reza Arafi congratulated the clerics on the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Ghadir and added, “Imam Ali’s character is still unknown to this day, his personality had so many undiscovered aspects, despite the fact that we as Islamic scholars are studying his personality more and more, we are still unable to comprehend and introduce all of his aspects of personality.”

The member of the Supreme Council of the Islamic Seminary explained, “The book, Nahj al-Balaghah [The Peak of Eloquence], as a collection of Imam Ali’s words and narrations, must be observed as a great source for promoting human values among society and clerics need to study this book as a main source of knowledge.”

Ayatollah Arafi further reiterated that as people move toward perfection, they acquire broader horizons in life and added, “As one moves towards higher levels in life, he or she would gain better moral virtues. The same is true for Imam Ali, as one of the greatest personalities in the history of the world, he was able to reach such high degrees of God’s servitude by obeying God Almighty.”

The head of the Islamic Seminaries of Iran added, “Seminarians must be aware that during their courses in the seminary they have the best opportunity to get more familiar with their religious leaders and reach a certain level of knowledge over their teachings. This is the best time for them to learn about their religious leaders’ lives.”
