RNA – Speaking at a conference on security development in Urmia, Shaykh Mamousta Abed Naghibi, the representative of the Kurdish tribes and a professor and researchers in Urmia’s Religions Seminary, said, “Security is a factor in the development of the region and today the people of Kordestan province are partners in the security of Iran and its borders.”
The Iranian Sunni cleric said the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) are always watching the enemies and this is why the Islamic Republic of Iran has attained the military power that it enjoys. “Iranian Sunni clerics are aware of the current situation in the country and thus, they are prepared to stand alongside the revolutionary forces to fight against the enemies,” he said.
Shaykh Naghibi stated that the Takfiri groups have nothing to do with Sunnis and said that the massacres and crimes carried out by Takfiri groups have no place in Islam as Islam is a religion of mercy. “The Takfiris sought to suppress the Islamic Awakening through this type of Islam,” he added.
He referred to the Mina stampede and said that the “evil” Al Saud are the servants of the United Kingdom and the United States and massacred 7,000 Hajj pilgrims from 51 countries in a secure divine sanctuary and added, “We did not even witness such a crime in the bombing of Hiroshima.”
Shaykh Naghibi pointed to the imprisonment of the leader of Bahrain’s Shi’a majority, Ayatollah Isa Qasim and said the Al Khalifah regime has committed the same mistake as the “accursed” former Iranian king, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, committed against the clerics who opposed him.
He said that as a Sunni cleric, I condemn the movement by the evil Al Khalifah and the Al Saud regimes. “The Saudi government does not deserve to administer the House of God [Ka’bah].”
The seminary and university lecturer expressed regret that today, Takfiri groups, with the name of Islam, are prepared to damage Islam but Muslims are vigilant Sunnis have stated many times that the Saudis and Takfiri groups have nothing to do with the Sunnis.
Shaykh Naghibi said: “The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia [Abdul-Aziz ibn Abdullah Al ash-Shaykh] has issued fatwas that are not based on any of the sources of Sunni jurisprudence while we know that they are the puppets of the intelligence agencies who seek to defame Islam.”
