RNA – Shaykh Ahmad al-Qattan, the head of Lebanon’s Qawluna wal-Amal (We Say and Act) Movement, denounced extremism in the world of Islam rejecting those who kill and excommunicate others under the name of Islam.

He said, “Those who excommunicate or behead others under the name of Islam do not have the least relation with Islam and lifestyle of Prophet Muhammad. Therefore, they should not be allowed to introduce the holy religion in satellite or television channels.”

The Sunni cleric stressed importance of introducing Islam based on original references and noted, “Palestine should be set as the number one priority of Muslim world and he who intends to struggle for God Almighty should be concerned over the issue of Palestine.”

Shaykh al-Qattan added, “The Zionists have invaded Palestinian lands desecrating their religious sanctities and killing their families. Hence, the issue of Palestine should be put on top of the agenda for all Islamic countries.”

He also warned against distracting from the war in Palestine towards other Islamic countries and stressed, “The current sedition is meant to distance the minds of the public from the issue of Palestine and spread dissension across Muslim states.”

He added, “True jihad is not killing each other or performing hostile plots by enemies.”
