RNA – Ayatollah Abbas Ka’bi, a member of Assembly of Experts, attended an angry protest by Bahraini scholars in the Islamic Seminary of Qom, where he hailed the great mission of this Arab nation and stressed that the resistance of Muslims against the Al Khalifah regime is not due to inability but it is due to protection of the lives and unity of Muslims.

He said, “The Bahraini nation is carrying out a great mission and they should not be mistaken, in their effort, for fighting for the sake of their interests rather they are amid a struggle to defend their Islamic identity.”

The Iranian cleric criticized world oppressive powers for misusing the fame and assets of Muslims plaguing Islamic countries like Bahrain, Iraq, Syria, Sudan and other countries with corruption.

He noted, “The Islamic nation awoke to achieve great victories in the world and the awakening movements in the world of Islam is proof for the new life it has started. Hence, we hope that the Muslim world can turn into a great power without any restriction of the culture or geographical bounds of its members.”

The Iranian seminary professor said that victory might be delayed but the important fact is that the final victory belongs to the right.

Ayatollah Ka’bi said, “It should not be imagined that Muslims are incapable in confrontation with Al Khalifah regime.”

His Eminence added, “What matters the most for us is protection of the lives and solidarity of Muslims and our resistance is due to the same fact.”

He referred to the recent atrocities against followers of Bahraini religious leader, Ayatollah Isa Qasim and said according to religious, legislative and international laws, religious leaders are ranked in a high social, political and citizenship position.”

He added, “Ayatollah Qasim is a guardian of national security and solidarity and his demands have always been peaceful demands within Bahrain laws.”

The seminary professor said that intolerance of a respectable figure like Ayatollah Qasim is a violation of the international, human rights and religious laws and a move which will intensify the critical situation rather than alleviating the chaos.”

The member of the Assembly of Experts added that Al Khalifah crackdown of the followers of Ayatollah Qasim will provide the grounds for revolutionary movements and formation of an intifada which will indeed impose a heavy cost on Manama.

He vowed that the seminaries of Qom and Najaf will not take silent stance in regards to Ayatollah Qasim and the resistance of Muslims should not be misused or mistaken for neutrality or ignorance.

The representative of Iran’s southern Khuzestan province in the Parliament rebuked Saudi Arabia for its dual stance on counter-terrorism and said, “At present Saudi Arabia is responsible for outbreak and expansion of sectarian and ethnic intrigues in the region under the disguise of resistance and confrontation with extremist movements.”
