RNA – Speaking to a conference in Qom, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Ebrahim Raeisi said the accursed and evil tree of the House of Saud does not have any problem with prayer, fasting and iftar themselves but they have a problem with establishing these rituals.
"The first step in establishing prayer is to struggle against the House of Saud and overcome them," he added.
The trustee of the Holy Shrine of Imam al-Ridha said that the Umayyad Dynasty was not on the path of faith but rather they were a path of disaster for the Islamic ummah and also added that the evil crimes committed by the House of Saud must not be forgotten and must be given their due attention by the Islamic ummah.
“They are an extension of the strategic direction of the imperialist powers in the Middle East,” he noted.
In regard to the struggle against the oppressors and the message of Ashura, he said that during Muharram and Ashura, the lectures about the martyrdom of Imam Husayn are lessons on monotheism and this means that we must always remember monotheism and attend mourning ceremonies as our mourning ceremonies are our classrooms and our school and our teacher is Imam al-Husayn.
“We must learn from the Ahlul-Bayt and achieve human dignity,” he said.
Hujjat al-Islam Raeisi said that human dignity is achieved through worshipping God Almighty and the Ahlul-Bayt reached the summit of human perfection and in the presence of God. “Crying for Imam al-Husayn is not the only criterion but rather the criterion is that one’s blood flows on the path of righteousness and he is martyred on this path,” he explained.
His Eminence added dignity only exists through the Ahlul-Bayt and that those who have distanced themselves from dignity in the world seek to make alignments with the imperial powers in the world and it is due to them that we are facing so many problems in the world today.
“The likes of Ayatollah Isa Qasim, Shaykh Ibrahim Zakzaky and Ayatollah Nimr Baqir al-Nimr are the flagbearers and clarifiers of the defence of human dignity,” the Iranian cleric said.
Hujjat al-Islam Raeisi stressed on necessity of increasing knowledge and insight among the people and the development of people who embrace the message of Ashura in order to defend our religious values, revolutionary thought and revolutionary action.
