RNA – Speaking to the seminarians gathered at Feyziyeh School in Qom to condemn Al Khalifah’s crimes against Bahrain’s Shi’a-majority population, Hujjat al-Islam Hasan Akhtari, the Secretary-General of the Ahlul-Bayt World Assembly, said, “Bahrain’s status should not be regarded as a minor issue, rather it concerns the whole Islamic world and all Muslims must support Shaykh Isa Qasim.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, Hujjat al-Islam Akhtari added, “The Bahraini people demand their legitimate rights which they are entitled to as citizens but the ruthless Bahraini regime has responded to this request through violence.”

The Secretary-General of Ahlul-Bayt World Assembly further stated, “The Bahrainis, since the beginning of their movement, have pursued their demands through peaceful demonstrations. They have never shown any form of violence in their protests, but unfortunately the Al Khalifah and Al Saud rulers, along with their masterminds, chose to suppress the innocent Bahraini citizens, so far they have have jailed 160 Bahrainis and have revoked the citizenship of 100 of them.”

He added, “The Al Khalifah regime engages in suppressing the people of Bahrain in the most inhumane way, they even do not even respect the Holy Quran and husayniyahs.”

In conclusion, Hujjat al-Islam Akhtari said, “The Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, remarked on Shaykh Qasim’s status saying, ‘His movement was so peaceful that in fact the Bahraini regime should have been thankful for his keeping the condition stable and quiet, rather they revoked his citizenship and are going to try him in court.’”
